The Bad Old Days

In the spring of 2021, my classmate at the time, Thomas Quinn, was searching for an editor for his film, The Bad Old Days. With a distinct style including talking-head interviews and heist-style storytelling, I had to hop on the project. During its production, The Bad Old Days was granted Northwestern’s Joann Torretta Award for exceptional filmmaking. The film follows a teen boy, Louis, as he tries to navigate his life with his new stepfamily, in particular his stepbrother. After his mother’s ring disappears, Louis jumps at the chance to question the members of his family and solve the mystery. The film premiered in June of 2022.
